Hey, everyone. Just got back in from my weekend. Good news is that the team has been notified about this and aware of it. As it's an older title the resources for this are more limited compared to Madden NFL 21 as most of the dev team is working on that title and Madden NFL 22, thus it may take a little longer to address during the holiday break. Any news we come across will be shared here as soon as we hear it. We apologize for any miscommunication from our EA staff from those that reached out to them and this is a task our teams will need to fix.

I found a similar thread for Madden 17 where the issue started in September last year and people posted off and on until December and it sounded like it never got totally resolved and sometimes the game would work in December but mostly not. Talked with someone from EA Help and obviously their solutions didn’t work because it’s an issue on their end, but they claimed it was across multiple Madden games and that they were aware and trying to fix it. I’m guessing it won’t be resolved for awhile l, especially with the holidays. 

This stinks. Seems they have other priorities other than keeping their current Madden users satisfied. I went through this crap with 17, too. Again, bogus. Agree a bit of communication or understanding of franchise limits or lifespan would be helpful from the get go. If EA’s attitude is we expect you to purchase every 3 years then make sure the new games are playable and not a shell of their predecessors.

Right, at least give us a heads up so we know we have to get new copies every 3 years. Even though the game has gone in the toilet and is borderline unplayable at this point. Franchise mode is a joke with the XP stuff. Just stunting creativity because they don’t think the game should be played a certain way. 

@KGRchitect that is exactly where I’m at. I wouldn’t feel the need to continue a 3 plus year old franchise if the new games were adequate. I’ve played 21 and wouldn’t even download it onto my console if it was free. If they don’t get this fixed I’ll just fire up 2k5 or all pro 2k8 on my older consoles

My Madden 18 Cloud Franchise will not load but simply gives the following message.

@EA_BlueberryThanks for getting back to us.  Merry Christmas to you.  Obviously Madden 21 will be EA's priority, but I certainly hope that time can be spared to address this Madden 18 issue.

Many of us can't reasonably budget to get a new Madden title every year, and look to maximize the value that we can get out of the Madden game we purchased.  So, we'd appreciate any help that we can get on getting a little bit more out of the game we have.

With it being right around Christmas, I hope all of you get a chance to spend some valuable time with family. (Whatever that looks like for you in a COVID-19 world)
