Madden 20 On Xbox Crashes Consistently

@EA_Blueberry may we please get refunds or answers here? At this point I really just want a refund. Thank you for the understanding. 

Mine is doing it frequently now and just freezes and sends me back to Home Screen on Xbox

EA can you respond? This is how you treat customers? I haven’t played since August and the game doesn’t work... it’s *. I want my money refunded. Respond or I’ll take action and blow this up on social media. Do you really want the PR * storm?

There have been several updates since the time you originally contacted us. In my original inquiry I asked whether it was installed to an external or internal drive, are you installing it to the internal drive on the Xbox One?

Whenever I see games crash like this it's usually related to files of the game located on two different drive sources, causing performance issues. I strongly recommend deleting the game off an external hard drive, unplug it, and then delete any files on the internal drive before reinstalling.

If you haven't deleted the game and reinstalled it since the game came out, please do so and power cycle your console too. I've also seen random controller charging docks cause crashes too, if you have one plugged in try removing that.

How much space do you have left on your hard drive? Freeing up some space can help alleviate performance issues when running games and apps. This is disheartening to hear how you're still experiencing this, do you have any case numbers you can provide me so I can review them if you contacted our Support since then?

How to power cycle your Xbox console:

1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button  on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

1. Plug the console power cable back in.
2. Press the Xbox button  on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

Clear Mac Address

1. Clear the MAC Address: From the Xbox dashboard select Settings>All Settings>Network>Network Settings>Advanced Settings>Alternate MAC address>Clear, then restart your Xbox.

@EA_Blueberry @Had 7 teams ready to go in franchise last night, game is frozen at conf. championship week. We have all exited/come back and tried to advance on companion app. This is kinda ridiculous man. Any update or advice you can give? We have tried almost everything.

I’ve reinstalled Madden 20 now 5-6 times with no success.  I’ve tried every solution posted in the forums including hard power cycles, clearing cache, clear MAC address, and reinstalling.  Nothing works.  This game is a major bust and I’m very disappointed EA has not addressed the issue given I can read about wide spread crashing issues across multiple game forums.  Going back to Madden 19... how do I go about requesting a refund for Madden 20?

• Is it a physical copy of the game or digital?
• Are you installing the game on an external hard drive?
• Do you have any devices attached to the USB slot on your Xbox?
• Which mode(s) is it crashing in and if it's franchise, do you use custom created players? We're tracking an issue for that here.

Yeah I’ve had the same problem. It’s now crashed 6x in a row for me in mut. What a freaking joke. Kicks me back to the home screen every time. 

I’ve done a hard reboot, uninstalled and reinstalled, clear local save games, done a system reboot and still nothing. 

It’s a hard copy in great condition, installed on the console and I have nothing plugged into the usb. I’m beyond fed up by this. 

need help bad. I just want to play my freaking game.
