Madden 23 Formation Sub Issues

It started in my 2nd season in Connected Franchise. I first noticed that my starting MLB was no longer on the field in my nickel or dime package like he was the first season. I did the formation sub in the main CFM menu and decided to fix my WR subs in my offensive formations. I noticed one of my WR’s was duplicated at two different receiver slots. One as WR2 and the other at SLWR. I did the swaps and went into practice mode to see if I liked how I had my new receiving core set. But to my surprise none of my offense or defense subs worked. I went back to CFM menu to take a look and Madden auto rest everything to before I made the subs. I went back through, did it again, and Madden auto swapped my subs again. I just want to know is there a way to fix this? I’ve had issues like this in previous maddens where my linebackers would be swapped with a DB but in formation subs I could fix it. This is the first time Madden has reset all my subs. For more context I’m playing on Next Gen Madden 23 PS5.

    I also have issues in franchise mode with formation subs.  if I move a certain WR to the slot WR in my depth chart but he is my outside WR then he shows up twice on the formation subs.

    I cannot use my custom playbook in the formation subs during a franchise because it won't let me select my playbook.  It is annoying.  I want certain plays in shotgun and i form, etc. and the only way I can have all the plays I want is to create a custom playbook, same goes for the defense, but it won't let me bring them into the dynasty that way.  You can only select from current teams playbooks.

    It is a little annoying.  Multiple issues with formation subs.

    I have this problem as well. For example, if I'm the Chargers and I have Keenan Allen as my #1 Slot WR in depth chart, he'll appear at two WR spots in the formation subs in 3WR sets. In game, it's a coin toss as to whether he'll appear in the right spot or not. Then when I want to switch sides of the field for Williams and Palmer based on these formation subs, it won't save the subs once I exit the screen; games and practice don't use the subs at all.

    This is a problem. I reached out to EA Help on Twitter and got zero response. I hope they check this out.

    I have this problem as well. I like to have funky fun packages and usually it just puts backups in for some reason. I’m on ps4. Really frustrating! Seems like such a simple concept to be able to substitute who you want in certain packages and they can’t handle it. So annoying to have to do it over and over again in the game. Please fix this madden. Also take the limitations off playing guys out of position in formation subs once it is fixed!! Guys play out of position all the time in the nfl. Look at Derwin James TAPE
