Madden 23 (Next Gen) Too many interception
There are too many interceptions! Almost all somewhat covered routes are caught by the CB's. This will be adjusted again? Even very good and experienced players on youtube throw one interception aft...

I can back this up. The interception slider does not work, at least not in Franchise mode for the CPU. I have tested it with INT's set at 100 and with them at 0, all the same result. Too many Int's. Through 10 games of CPU vs CPU there have been 31 INT's with the slider set at 0. I also have pass def reaction set to 0. That is equivalent to 1.55 Int's per game. I jot the stats down at the end of each game. Here is a screenshot of the results.
@c159982876f3f72b Yep. I notice it gets worse as the game goes on, at least for me. With CPU vs CPU, I usually see more picks in the second half. Which is frustrating if my team is winning, then all of a sudden in the 3rd quarter my QB decides to throw 2 or 3 picks. Or the other team throws 2 or 3 picks in the second half, it's unrealistic situations like that just make me not want to even watch the games just simulate them. I thought 2K was supposed to be making the arcade game, not EA.
I've been playing this game since the original. The interception issue is so bad now that I'm planning on a franchise game that runs only. On 4th down, I'll punt as the punting is pretty good and gets the ball further down the field than trying to throw a short pass that will end in a pick 6. Can't use coach mode as the AI throws tons of INTs then. On defense there is no point in trying to stop the run just wait and catch the interceptions they will throw. Blitzing will get the poor passer to throw a bad pass but not the vets. No CPU team counts on the run. Sure they will run maybe 3-4 times a drive, but eventually it is interceptions galore. Now if I could make my own playbook in Francise, I'd just remove the passing plays but alas...
Cmon now EA, respond to this thread. This crap is hurting Franchise Mode, at least allow our sliders to matter.
Hey!IThey fixed the interception sliders in the latest patch,its working fine for me now...Since the patch i had like one INT, DBs wont catch the ball as often as they did
Same with me playing as jaguars worst ea needs to give 80 and above qbs especially in head to head reasonable skill throwing interception where safty flings across the field to deflect ball or interception by cb each play i pass the ball on exhibition when pass looks open often signal as a catchable pass 9 times out of 10 interception very unrealistic having 10 or so interception per game ea needs to patch this right away, speed buffs need to be nerfed 4 cbs.
Ea if all u care about is making money i'm taking my copy back.
