Get better at the game? A game is supposed to be fun and recreational. It's not fun if the AI keeps you from even being able to complete a pass. Challenging CAN be fun but this is beyond challenging its borderline impossible.
I have lowered the CPU slider to 0, I'm still throwing a minimum of 3 INTs per game, not even contested throws, a 3rd string LB 6 to 7 yards away from the WRs cut is picking me off. It's dumb. Also just because, I adjusted my slider to 100 for interception and in 3 games got 2... seems to be a huge discrepancy.

Exactly I play h2h all everday and throw an occasional pick or 2 cause I tried to force a pass to a player. If you throwing 4 or more picks you either suck or don't know when a player is not open.
The issue isn’t just with skill level when playing at QB. I can play all madden and throw 0-1 picks per game. The issue is if you are looking for a realistic experience in franchise or FoF, and your defense is getting 6 picks a game, the experience is not real. Fof at HB and your cpu qb throws 4-5 picks then its an issue with the gameplay. Unless you have Nate Peterson at qb.
It’s not just a get better methodology. If you super sim slow 2 teams and have CPU control them it’s supposed to be a realistic simulation. Each QB regardless of who it is is throwing 4 INT’s a game at a minimum. It’s not realistic and points to a break in the engine.
Yeah the problem for me is the CB's are better at catching than the receivers. If I throw a dumb pass into double coverage or throw it right at a defender it should obviously be intercepted a good majority of the time. I feel a lot of people complain because they make poor choices but that's not what I'm saying. I feel like the CB's come down with 50/50 balls WAY better the the WR do. I will say the CB go for the breakup way more often which is a good thing I think, but the problem is if a CB gets their hands on the ball its caught almost 100% of the time. Where as if the WR gets their hands all the ball its a drop 90% of the time. I'm not so much looking for the corners to drop ball more often, but i'm looking for the WR who are good at 50/50 balls in real life not to get destroyed by some short low level CB every freaking time. CB's also have the ability to break on the ball WAY harder than the WR's do. Which yeah sometimes thats true to life is they are sitting in a zone, but like when you have a WR and a CB running across the field together in man coverage, the ball gets thrown up and the CB somehow gets a weird burst of speed to go around the WR to catch the ball is just ridiculous when both players are in the same exact positions on the field, both seeing the same ball coming at them. The WR just runs his route to the end and never tries to run towards the ball. Obviously you could user him but I swear sometimes you user the receiver and he just watches the ball fly by which is REALLY annoying. So I guess my real issue is that good WR feel way underpowered and low level corners make high level plays against high level receivers way way way too often.
The issue is the CPU interception slider doesn’t do much like it did in the old games. Im not great at the game but normally play on all pro and I’ll throw maybe 10-15 pics a season. With this year even with the CPU sliders turned to 0 I’m still throwing 3-4 a game now. I know people say just get better. True yes but also just let the slider make more of a difference

Human throwing INTs is currently fine in the game.
CPU throwing INTs on All Pro & All Madden is what is too much. I user the D Line and my CBs led the league in INTs on All Pro because CPU QBs are braindead if they're not the top 5 guys at the position. Davis Mills is the worst CPU controlled QB in the history of Madden. He threw 4 INTs to my CBs in one half.
We as humans can get better and not throw INTs, but what we can't control (with broken sliders) is how awful the CPU is.
- @augivan15 Yeah I agree 100% there really needs to be a much bigger distinction between the "simulation" mode and the competitive mode because I feel like the entire games gets soley adjusted for competitive players and it ends up looking absolutely nothing like real football. I don't have a problem with competitive game modes as I enjoy them, however I HATE that EA has the exclusive simulation rights to the NFL and yet they never cater to the simulation crowd in the slightest.
Sooo many INTs this is completely ruing the game for me. EA please address this!
