I've played through a whole FotF season as a QB for the 49ers. Went undefeated. Won the SB. The cutscene with my agent talking about my contract plays. It gives me the list of contract options. When I try to select one it freezes for a minute or two, then an error flashes too fast for me to read and it either stays on the contract selection screen, returns tot he FotF menu, or it returns to the main menu. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. I can start a new one no problem. Everything else I've messed with seems to be working fine.
**update** EA customer support hasn't been much help. Their suggested solutions didn't work. I've gone through my first season as a wide receiver and running back and didn't have the issue. I deleted that original save that I was posting about and started a new one. Chose the Bears with the second save. Same outcome for the season. This time I tried to select the Bucs since Brady retired at the end of the season. Got the same result.
I’m having the same exact issue. So, I recorded the gameplay and paused it when that menu comes up. It’s a server disconnect. I just find it unbelievably lazy that this is still an issue. I just want to sign my contract and continue my career. Instead I’m basically stuck in limbo. And it was a problem that constantly happened last year in franchise. And purely because it’s not their money making game mode (talking to EA, not the developers) it won’t be touched I’m sure for another couple weeks. I know the team behind these games do actually care about their games, but all EA has cared about for years is their profits not a quality product.
I ran into the issue last year with disconnects, but it wasn't like this. I put in a ticket and got a typical generic reply with links to potential fixes. One of the links sent me to a non-existent page. One wanted me to update things that are already updated to newer version of what they suggest. The last one had me clear the cache which of course did nothing.
I have the exact same issue. Goes to show the level of care EA has about game breaking bugs.
Funny thing, I’ve completed FotF now as a WR and HB and was able to select a contract and move on.
Replied about this issue in the above thread. if you select that contract multiple times it still signs the player to that contract but eventually you will get one to go through but it ruins the league.
