This happened to me as well. I could not re-sign with the same team. I signed with a new team and it let me proceed. There are now 3 of my characters in the league 2 on my original team and 1 I am controlling on my new team.

@oddjob702 Happened to me when trying to sign $657m 4 year contract. 🤦🏽‍♂️
