Madden21 Online Kick Meter Issue

I’ve been playing Madden for 29years now and have never been more frustrated with the online kick-lag meter than I have this year. Routine extra points missed, while I have no issues hitting a 52 yarder? Kickoffs spray all over as the meter never reacts to a properly pushed button. Yes, not only has this lost me games online (7) by missed extra points, 🏀 by FGs, ⚽ kickoff out of bounds, I’m also out money as I play in online money leagues. I never write in these forums, but couldn’t take it anymore. After reading many others comments on EA and other sites online, I quickly found I’m not alone. P L E A S E FIX THIS BUG. All other online gameplay is phenomenal, but this kick meter either needs to be fixed or leave the game all together in Madden 22. Its horrendous. Ive found solutions, like wait 10 seconds before making in kicks, or change router settings specifically for this game, but neither have worked. If EA or anyone else has a solution to my kick meter issue, please share. Best-McCaffery 87

    I am having the same problem. The only way I can get past it is to simply any kickoff plays. But that only works for cpu games. My games look like the Michigan and Minnesota game. Other team wins by a land slide because I can't kick it more than 20 yards. I'm almost to the point where I'm done playing madden games. They get worse and worse every year and instead of fixing the problem as they come they wait to fix it with the next game.

    Just a heads up I'm going to close down this post in the Madden 21 forums since it's from 2020 to prevent further necroposting.

    The kicking meter not accurately registering the button taps could be due to two reasons:

    • Poor connectivity to the servers which lag will result in miscalculated timed kicks
    • A kicker is not actually in your kicker position on the depth chart and you have a punter in your kicker position
