Just tested with importing draft classes. Still has saves crashing around season 5. Haven't tested without draft imports yet. Curious if anyone finds any different results. Looks like this wasn't addressed at all.
@EA_Kent care to chime in, or are we still the ugly step child that you ignore?

I appreciate you testing this to see if it's still happening for you after today's update. Has anyone else seen any changes on their side? Do you still run into any issues at the same spot as before, or have any different issues cropped up?

I can confirm the franchise bug is still present. The game will let you play multiple seasons. But the game will then crash at some point in the future after you have completed a played game.
There appear to be two triggers
1. Not enough league coaches after a period of time.
2. Custom draft files.
Here are my controlled experiments I ran today after the patch.
1. 32 team control and Coach Firing OFF. I advanced the game by 10 seasons and played the superbowl. Game was fine and allowed me to carry on. Although it's not very immersive to see the same 32 coaches there after a decade and defeats the purpose of coach firing etc.
2. 32 team control and Coach Firing ON. I advanced the game by 10 seasons and could not even play the SB. All 32 coaches had been fired and the moment I went to select one to retire him, the game crashed.
3. 32 team control and Coach Firing OFF and I used a custom draft file from the community for the 2023 draft. I advanced the game by 10 seasons. Played the SB to the end. Finished the game. Game immediately crashed. It gave the chance to submit a bug report which I did. I named you EA Kent in the description. My PS profile name is Joneseythecat044. I submitted the error log about 10 minutes ago - 2335 approx UK time, which is 1835 Florida time.
You and your devs should be able to recreate this problem fairly easily. Just run the same controlled experiments I did.
Please fix this as soon as possible. It is not fair to offer players the chance to play multiple seasons and then watch as the game crashes and they loose a franchise they have been working on for ages.

- @EA_Kent nothing has changed... everything that triggered the corrupted saves before still does. This is such a phony PR response to the thread. obviously no attempt was made to adjust this issue. nothing in the patch notes even mentioned offline franchise. such a fraud
- @zboehler9 damn, so even offline franchise has severe bugs????? bruh, you can't be serious... there is literally NO PART of this game that isn't pure bug riddled trash... EA should be embarrassed by the half-assed effort and result they put out this year... absolutely shameful...
@EA_Kent just to be clear, the update did NOT FIX offline franchise mode. Offline franchise is still crashing and corrupting save files. And it is not JUST an issue with custom draft classes or coaching shortage... my franchise CRASHED and ALL 3 save files were corrupted in the year 2027. I did not use custom draft classes and there was not a coaching shortage. For anyone saying those two bugs are the lone factors in this much larger issue, that is not the case.
Madden 23 offline franchise is BROKEN.
I was on week on week 7 or 8 of the regular season, and after I played a game the game crashed and all my files were corrupted. So unbelievably disappointing. I have spoken with multiple gaming media outlets to update them about the lack of progress with the new update. I got so excited yesterday to play the game mode that I love... and all to just be let down again. Super bummed. Not surprised.
@EA_Kent PLEASE send this message to the people that can make a change, please try to elevate this.
Madden is broken and tons of people will be getting their money back if this bug isn't fixed.

this is, by far, the WORST madden in history.... don't know if they just tried to do too much, or they were just worried about their MUT microtransactions (my money is on this one), but they have absolutely, and utterly FAILED this year... between the bugs, technical issues, lost rewards, etc, i really don't think there is anything they can do, at this point, to keep me as a customer from here out... and i really do expect many others will feel the same way... @Creamchild1234I've been wondering if it has something to do with the mock draft. Because it always seems to crash around week 7 or week 8 and stage 2 of The mock draft starts on week 8.
But one thing I can't understand is how online franchise mode doesn't have a similar issue.
I had this happen to me on Madden 22 a little over a month ago. I was having my best season and was gonna win MVP with my QB that I had just gotten to an X Factor. It was so disappointing to have all that work go down the drain. I've been paying attention to this thread to see if this issue will be fixed cause until it does I won't be buying 23. I really like the gameplay and all the new features in franchise and I would gladly be buying the game every year but I mainly play franchise and this bug makes playing that game mode pointless.

dude, trust us... do NOT waste your money!! you ain't missing anything but an updated roster and tons of lost time and regret... i'm urging you to consider not buying 24 either... maybe a decrease in the sales of 24 will open the eyes of this company that we demand better, and we will spend our time and money elsewhere until they PROVE they have listened to us and figured out how to put out a COMPLETED game
Man, I am so bummed to see this wasn't on the list of fixes, but I am also not surprised. Please put some focus on this for the next update. It has been a long time over due. Not that my say matters.
