Had anyone found a work around yet? Mine constantly goes back to the off-season draft. I’m even reinstalled the game and it still will not save progress in the online franchise mode. Thanks
I’ve been researching for days now and can’t find any work around. Having same issues, it’s not playable at all
Only workaround I have seen so far that I read somewhere and thats worked is as follows: (its also not even that great but gets you out of the draft)
notes before reading
- this has only worked in a new franchise we started ie. used this strategy from the start of the draft, before it got stuck (the old one where we were stuck and trying everything is still forever stuck, although I think this strategy could work for it eventually)
- unsure if this will work with a franchise that has been stuck for a while in the draft, can try letting it run out fully as instructed below may just take some time
- 4 person franchise
1. start draft with everyone on "stable" connection
2. make sure pause draft is OFF, you will need to keep this off the whole draft (so have your picks ready)
3. you CAN skip forward to next user pick, just don't pause it (so again have your picks ready)
4. get through as many picks as you can before getting kicked out (inevitable)
- we were kicked out a few times and this would do some reverting back
5. once we rejoined this appeared to cause the game to simultaneously run two drafts, constantly jumping between for ex. 5th rd pick 26 and 5th rd pick 14, then 5th rd pick 27 and 5th rd pick 15, we ended up getting kicked once more and it seemed to be running 3 drafts all at once
- however since the draft was never paused it would run through all the picks, letting the timer run out on user picks, YOU CANNOT SIM FORWARD FROM THIS POINT ON OR MAKE YOUR OWN PICKS
- I think this is important so that at the end of the draft the game has no more "drafts" running in the background that may cause it to revert back
- the downside from here is to let it auto-draft, we were in the 5th round at the time so we were willing to sacrifice the picks for some progression, auto-draft does seem to select players you favourite though
- at this stage I think its only important that the commissioner of the league be in the draft, but a few of us hung around
6. once the first draft is complete it took me out of the draft but there was no draft recap yet, just menu options to advance picks etc that you would normally see in the draft
- wait for all the "drafts" to be completed auto-drafting, the draft recap will appear eventually in the menu (I was unclear if the draft recap showed up early, but if the menu screen is doing little flashes in 20 second intervals then theres still a draft going that is auto-picking and you want to wait for that to be done)
7. once draft recap is shown, and you believe all the "drafts" are done, back out of the franchise, I think this forces some save and if theres no more "drafts" ongoing it locks you into the draft recap phase, but if you get kicked or the drafts are ongoing in the background it seems to revert back
- from this point on moving forward in the franchise, keep backing out of things once completed. We played a week 1 game and were messing around in the menus after, got kicked due to inactivity and it reverted back to the draft recap point, but importantly not into the draft. Since then we back out of everything, forcing that save, and it seems to be functioning normally. Finish a game exit the franchise and come back in, seems to save it every time.
- We have not gotten to year 2 draft yet to test again
- I cannot guarantee this will work for you so I am sorry if it doesn't, just sharing how we are getting through franchise in these trying times..
TLDR (sorry for in depth detail)
1. keep PAUSE DRAFT off,
2. draft normally but have your picks ready to go (you CAN sim forward picks at this point)
3a. once/if one person is kicked, all leave and rejoin but let it autodraft (timer run out)
3b.YOU CANNOT SIM FORWARD IN THE DRAFT AT THIS POINT OR MAKE YOUR OWN PICKS ☹️
4. once all "drafts" completed and draft recap appears (dont be fooled by the background change, wait until you see the option for DRAFT RECAP) leave the franchise to force a save before someone gets kicked again
5. to continue in the franchise, continuously back out and come back in after every progression event or changes you want saved, if you get kicked for whatever reason without doing that it will revert back to the last time you did that
