Are you both still having trouble connecting online? Servers are still available and should be up...which platform do you both play the game on?
I just bought this game and it doesn't work.. I found articles back from when this game was first released talking about this freezing problem. EA never fixed it. You deserve the poor reputation you have.. I had to turn my internet off just to start the game.. And it still froze while playing on PS3.

Do you use an external hard drive for you PS3 by any chance? I'm not aware of a outstanding freezing issue with Madden NFL 25 and with the hundreds of thousands of players that have played the game since it's release, it's not uncommon to see reports of freezing from time to time. This could be hardware related, corrupted files, third party devices plugged into the console that makes the game not compatible, and so forth. If you're interested in troubleshooting this at all let me know. Freezing can be a let down, I get it. Let me know if you want to figure this out. Does the game freeze every single time you play it? It was never resolved cus it's still freezing

Appreciate the detailed video of what you're experiencing from your end.
Do you use an external hard drive and instead of deleting the patch, have you tried deleting all data for the game and re-installed it?
Do you have anything plugged into the PS3 at all? (Charging dock for the controllers for example or any other device?) Ya I did that and no I don't use a external hard drive with my PS3. Didn't even know you could do that

I'm also under the impression it's freezing on you for all quarter lengths, not just 1 minute quarters. If it's for 1 minute only quarter lengths for that specific game mode it could be a bug for that time-frame.
The Madden NFL team has moved on to development for Madden NFL 22 and content for 21. Because of the lower playerbase on 25 and this is the only report I've seen in a while about this, I'm going to be honest that I don't foresee any action on this as a priority which is why I want to try and exhaust our troubleshooting resources first to see if we can fix it from our end.
