In addition to all of these great and well said points - from a Menu screen and Non-gameplay perspective. Make this part MUCh more user friendly. I believe the 2000's Madden games had an easier and more user friendly way to find certain things.
When going through any current season stats, career stats, "League Leaders" - while this part isn't as bad, it is still hard to search through statistics without cringing and getting frustrated. Include Pro Bowl votes/voting, when introducing player say they are "Pro Bowlers" and list it under their name on the roster, and increase their ratings because of this accolade. Within the season awards, show their statistics!! You can see who is top 10 for MVP but can't see their statistics for the season?? NBA 2k has done a good job with their screens and searching through individual players statistics, award history, etc. Maybe even include "Top Fantasy Players" as a cool nod to this part of football. Either way, a lot of off gameplay things that could be updated in addition. Searching through specific standings are difficult. Include real names of Offensive/Defensive Coordinators, former coaches/players as potential candidates for coaches. This was something Madden 2005 had! Smart trading, 3 team trading. I am sure there are going to be several things i think of in addition to these - but as a Franchise player for the past 20 years, there is a lot off things we do as users OUTSIDE of the gameplay, that could be so much more improved upon.
