Since it's now confirmed PC does NOT get any of the next gen features yet again, a better question is what ARE we getting for the PC version that justifies charging up to $99 for this copy / paste game on Steam? A roster update? A throwback tribute cover of John Madden? This is absolutely ridiculous. Last Madden I actually bought was in 2016 when I had a PS. Ditched that platform long ago as PC gaming is just better in countless ways. Last Madden I played was '22 because I could add it to my library for free with my $5/mo. EA Play account. Even then I uninstalled it after a couple days due to it not having any of the next gen features. I won't be buying this for PC yet again if the devs care this little about our platform. Good lord.

@o---DaVeX---o just invest in maximum football, they are moving to the unteal engine and listening to their fan base. Franchise is deep in the game only the game play in matches is a bit bad, but since EA isn't investing in us why should we in them and not in the competition? Unlike EA thinks a lot of PC gamers are fed up with their strategy but lets wait for the official statement of EA, but have no hope they will have a logical explaination of this since there is none. Dev time, 365 days and PS5/XBOX were trying to be more dev friendly and have a verry similar approach to coding as PC games have. Hardware, a simple gaming PC most of the times outclasses a PS5/XBOX with ease. The early stage of the consoles: been released back in 2020/2021 so thats not an issue.
PC is one of the reasons they are as big as they are today, it feels as a loyal EA fan (have had almost all base games they have released on PC including madden 21/22) as a shot in the back. No way to make this a logical situation, mods are currently out performing what madden 23 with a price tag of 60 dollars will do next year.
I have ended my EA play, and won't buy anything from this publisher again untill they fiz this situation. (With exeption of F1 since codemaster as game studio isn't filled with greed YET)
- 4 years ago@TWJanssen Yep, I own Maximum football. Agree with everything you said and play it for the wonderful franchise mode to get my fix for that. I usually just simulate the actual games though, as you said, gameplay is still pretty lacking. Still a fun experience doing it that way, though!
I also play 2K5 and APF 2K8 through emulators. Still the best realistic simulation gameplay I've ever experienced even if the graphics look a little dated now. The player movement is still super fluid and amazing, though and it plays like actual football.
If there was a way to combine Maximum's Franchise mode with 2k8's gameplay now THAT would be an amazing simulation football game!!
So I'll keep doing that for now, as EA seems more interested in every conceivable game mode in Madden other than the actual simulation football mode which is Franchise (which ironically is what their exclusive contract is supposed to be about making, yet MUT and The Yard somehow is what they seem to care about? Not good.).- 4 years ago

Relaying my response in another thread I posted earlier regarding a forum user that had similar feedback:We hope to see you on the field with us this season, whether it is at the start or at a later time. The game is still much more than a roster update as it will features updated content for other modes as well which is factored into the experience you'll have in Madden 23 this season.
If you are looking for a discounted rate, your best option for value on PC is the EA Play Pro membership.
EA Play Pro is $99 for an entire year and you also get access to other new EA titles. As well as a huge library full of games. If you are a MUT player, you also receive 500 points per month for a whole year. So if you're a heavy MUT player on PC, in my opinion, going that route is a no brainer because of the advantages you get with points, 10% MUT discount, and your MUT bonus Welcome Pack. Even if you're not a MUT fan though, having a library of the latest EA games and other options to play throughout the year is about the same cost as single games these days.EA Play Pro Members
- Full access to the Madden NFL 23 EA Play Pro Edition beginning August 16, 2022
- 500 Madden Points with each monthly Madden NFL 23 log-in from August 2022 – July 2023**
- Score a Launch Welcome Pack in Madden NFL 23 Ultimate Team
- Claim monthly Ultimate Team Pack and Vanity rewards tied to in-game seasonal programs
- Get 10% off purchases of EA digital content

@EA_BlueberryThis might be one of the most tone-deaf replies I've seen from a CM. Next you're going to ask us, "Don't you guys have phones?"
- 4 years ago@EA_Blueberry could you send a list for the new features for Madden 23 on PC? Only thing I got that we will be getting new is the new "face of the franchise". Along with the new ratings and roster update it is not worth 60 dollars. You (EA) are pricing your game almost the same as you price the product for xbox series x and s and ps5. You can't expect us pay full price for not even half of a product at this point. And what your statement of MUT points is: we have no crossplay, you exclude us from the main player base. Those are reasons almost no one plays MUT on PC and we (PC Players) don't spend huge amounts of money in MUT coins. We know EA has the tech for making it possible look at BF 2142 (okay a lot went wrong with that game) but PC was on par with xbox and ps5, and we were capable of crossplay. You can't say that madden is a more complex game than battlefield.

@EA_Blueberrycan you respond to TWJanssen's question?

If it was not for this feature , I would not have played Madden at all the past 2 years. I pay your 25$ subscription to play for a month, which doesn’t bother me because the lack of new features and diversity doesn’t keep my attention for more than that.
after finding out PC is still going to be last gen technology , I will be doing the same most likely , or not at all to be honest. It’s astonishing how much PC players get left behind and forgotten when it comes to sports games.

@cis0Yea. I think EA and 2k are just lazy.
I believe we will see MLB the show on PC next year, which would be phenomenal. That game is just begging for a native 4k/high frame rate experience, and Sony is going all in on PC ports. The complete opposite attitude of madden and 2k devs, I guess.
What 2k and madden devs are underestimating, is just how many people ditched consoles and built PC's in the last 2 years. They can not use 10-year old games to guage interest. No one is buying that stuff. Even with my 3090, I can not polish a ****(madden "23")
