- @o---DaVeX---o The issue with Maximum (and others) is that yeah, the gameplay is lacking, plus it lacks multiplayer. The only way I ever play Madden is multiplayer CFM, so I'm not going to spend $30 on a game I have no use for.
Thank you for making our voices heard. I've been playing Madden since Madden NFL 2004 on the PC. Since then, I bought all the Madden games on the Wii, Xbox 360, and PC. I was thrilled when Madden came out on PC again because I have no new consoles. Immediately, I poured hundreds of hours into Madden 19, 20, and 21. When I learned that Madden 22 wasn't getting next-generation features, I couldn't justify spending another $60 for a game without its main new features. Soon afterward, I couldn't download or use rosters on the PC version, making me stuck with old players and player ratings. I stopped playing. I understood not being able to port features in the first year of development for next-gen consoles, but in the second year too? I see now that PC isn't a priority for EA Sports, and that we will never receive the caliber of games we expect. I've seen the changes over twenty years of development, and Madden has come such a long way. It makes me sad that other die-hard fans like myself have to watch the Series improve from the sidelines. You guys lost me as a customer, but more importantly, you lost credibility as game developers. Without proper support you will lose all of your old school players, including me.
Saying Madden is Improving is a long shot. There are almost 20 year old football games that perform miles better than any madden in the past 10 years. 2k8 makes madden look absolutely terrible. Madden needs completely redone. 2k Is coming back and maximum with the new unreal engine. EA has competition coming and I'm begging for them to lose their license. Until then I refuse to pay for a reskinned madden 22. I'll just mod the * out of 22 for free and end up with a better game than madden 23 will be anyways. I suggest everyone else on PC do the same.
I have much more to say on the subject but it's not even worth it anymore

@Roninx007 just download the mod for 23 roster, can be found on reddit. Also those mods include more detailed franchise etc... Just don't buy 23. They left you hang so do the same for them. Only thing they care about is your money, spend it elsewhere. As noted before, support indie devs to make better football games since EA won't.
Just a heads up, mods are not supported for the game like they would be for a game such as The Sims 4. Any alteration to game files and attempt to play online modes could result in potential flags for anti-cheat.

Since it's now confirmed PC does NOT get any of the next gen features yet again, a better question is what ARE we getting for the PC version that justifies charging up to $99 for this copy / paste game on Steam? A roster update? A throwback tribute cover of John Madden? This is absolutely ridiculous. Last Madden I actually bought was in 2016 when I had a PS. Ditched that platform long ago as PC gaming is just better in countless ways. Last Madden I played was '22 because I could add it to my library for free with my $5/mo. EA Play account. Even then I uninstalled it after a couple days due to it not having any of the next gen features. I won't be buying this for PC yet again if the devs care this little about our platform. Good lord.

Relaying my response in another thread I posted earlier regarding a forum user that had similar feedback:We hope to see you on the field with us this season, whether it is at the start or at a later time. The game is still much more than a roster update as it will features updated content for other modes as well which is factored into the experience you'll have in Madden 23 this season.
If you are looking for a discounted rate, your best option for value on PC is the EA Play Pro membership.
EA Play Pro is $99 for an entire year and you also get access to other new EA titles. As well as a huge library full of games. If you are a MUT player, you also receive 500 points per month for a whole year. So if you're a heavy MUT player on PC, in my opinion, going that route is a no brainer because of the advantages you get with points, 10% MUT discount, and your MUT bonus Welcome Pack. Even if you're not a MUT fan though, having a library of the latest EA games and other options to play throughout the year is about the same cost as single games these days.EA Play Pro Members
- Full access to the Madden NFL 23 EA Play Pro Edition beginning August 16, 2022
- 500 Madden Points with each monthly Madden NFL 23 log-in from August 2022 – July 2023**
- Score a Launch Welcome Pack in Madden NFL 23 Ultimate Team
- Claim monthly Ultimate Team Pack and Vanity rewards tied to in-game seasonal programs
- Get 10% off purchases of EA digital content
If you guys are trying to grow a player base the worst thing you could do is make said base feel alienated and that we don't matter by giving us the same tired excuses year in and out. What you are essentially telling us is there is such a lack of effort from Madden dev team that you could easily run the game on ten year old graphics cards and you have to come up with creative excuses each year: like when they were concentrating on next gen release so they couldn't be bothered with PC. It is a choice to do things like this when the full game could run just as well on PC as it does PS5 and XBox current gen. Hell, the previous generation of consoles could run full version but that would not bring in more money. It was a choice by the same people to use the same engine for this long and make the decision to not port the full game because PC doesn't bring in enough MUT money. What do they use when they make this game? Do they develop it on PS5 or is it done on PC?

- CoolwaterPSN4 years agoRising Vanguard@ericth3r3d I really wish EA would literally start from the ground up. Madden is a money making machine, and they should have tossed it in the trash long ago and gave us something new. Instead they just slap on new paint, update the rosters, and call it brand new.
Madden needs a reboot badly.
People give Call of Duty a lot of negativity, but at least they've tried. Madden just keeps rolling the same bones out there and making a killing because it's a monopoly. @EA_BlueberryThis might be one of the most tone-deaf replies I've seen from a CM. Next you're going to ask us, "Don't you guys have phones?"
- @EA_Blueberry Thank you for moving this.
