Bench full in mobile and can’t trade

Can’t open pack in Madden 24 Mobile. I uses tokens to get a 5 pack but didn’t realize it would push me over 1202 cards. The bench full error tells me to trade. I tried trading cards for weights or coins but I cannot open those packs either. How do I reduce my cards so I can trade and consolidate stuff?

Discovered that in the Trade section of Madden Mobile, the Core section allows you to trade players to reduce the player cards. It does this without triggering the need to have bench space.
