Build your own player?

A league mate of mine came up with what I think is a wonderful idea  

Players that are customizable  

So the premise of his idea is that we get base players with a basic set of attributes  But we can upgrade those attributes by earning or buying attribute points  

Players would still have a max on any one attribute  but we get to decide what attributes to make important  So is we wanted to make a fast team we could focus on speed and acceleration  If we wanted a smart linebacker we could make one with high awr and plr but we might have to sacrifice some speed or pursuit   Etc  The idea isn't completely fleshed out  but the premise is solid  

I was wondering if anyone else thinks this is something that you would like and if possible that this idea be pitched to the dev team  Thoughts
