Can anyone explain this down/distance sequence?

Dont you just love EA's math? Since they arent losing anything, developers will never look into this. You should have said "Wow! I got 1000 Madden cash when this happened!" Would have been looked at in 10 minutes.

Is this something you've been seeing on a regular basis or easily able to reproduce it? Or is it totally random when you see this?

It's random and infrequent.

In this case, I knew I gained the first down on the previous play.

So when I faced fourth down after I ran the next play I was stunned.

I don't recall another instance that was as bad.

While playing head to head the last play sometimes glitches out and the next play i select (which is a repeat og the last play scenario) my team is but on the other side of the ball. For instance on a kickoff return, the next play was also a kickoff, but this time it was my team that was kicking (without me doing anything other than selecting a play) and it ended in a turnover as the opponents team recieved the ball. This has happened multiple times in different situations. Im adding a screenshot of the drive summary depicting the two kickoffs and turnover.
