They definitely need competition. Whatever happened to NFL 2K series? It wasnt as good but at least it was an option!
- @LakersPackers76 EA has exclusive rights. that's why I recommend to everyone that has issues with madden not only notify ea but also email the NFL. eventually if enough of us continue to bug the NFL and let them know we aren't happen with the product ea us giving us they will look to add competition when their exclusive right agreement is up.
makes it harder tho cuz so many spend their whole paycheck every week on this game. as long as ea is raking in $$$ and the NFL gets their cut we're going to continue to get hosed - @LakersPackers76 EA has an exclusive deal with the NFL and NFLPA so they are the only company that is allowed to use the NFL players likenesses.

Plus I'm sure they buy out any game company who even tries to compete. They are the Microsoft of the NFL gaming community.- @thegatorfan122 honestly if the game was good with made up players I'd be down but honestly we play madden cuz we're NFL fans and having our favs on our teams makes it so much better.
It's too bad ea only sees this game as a cash cow to milk dry instead of recognizing the huge following madden has and is worthy of investing in to make it a great game. if ea worked as hard at making this a great game instead of quick rip offs(the recent no jackson debacle for example) they would easily double profits
