Anytime that has been the case in the past EA always honored what was written (I also believe that is required by iOS apps). A single random rare for the effort to get those 12 tokens (really like 27 as 15 are required to have been spent to event get the tier 3 rewards) isn't even close to normal value in the game and those who got there should be compensated with what was written. It is not the players fault that EA didn't test or proof read their trades so they need to live up to what they advertised.

@EA_Blueberry thanks I missed the first part of stream today so didn't see that. Hopefully they can actually get these sent out this week or I'm going to have to change my strategy around over which QB to stick with.
@EA_BlueberrySo are they fixing the trade too? So that anyone who hasn't completed it yet can get the same reward? Or are some players still going to be stuck spending 12 keys! on a single rare?
So I guess we have to wait another week for this make good. I think there should be another make good for the delayed make good 😉. It has been almost a month since this issue was reported to the GC's.

Yep you will just get a x1 rare player now. I just did the trade assuming it was still the x5 shards since that was what it was before, I guess I should assume EA will just randomly change things or I have to read a forum before playing a game.
