Madden Ghosts passing problem

I’m playing the Ghost events and I am asked to get 3 pass completions but for some reason either the QB won’t pass to the WR or TE and even if he does pass and it’s caught, it’s not counted as a completion. It’s happened about 10 times this morning and is another hindrance within this game.
