Madden mobile is not working on Moto G 2nd generation

I just installed Madden NFL Mobile and when I get to the "tap screen to play", I can't do it. It happens the same in NBA Live. I need help.

  • Both of my sons have the same exact problem with their Moto G 2nd generation phones running the latest version of Android OS (Marshmallow). They were able to play Madden Mobile on their Moto G2s until we upgraded their phones back in February 2016. Madden Mobile, NBA Live, and other EA games do not work ever since upgrading from Lollipop to Marshmallow.

I mentioned this problem in the "MADDEN MOBILE NOT WORKING ANDROID 6", but have never seen a solution in almost 6 months. That thread is marked "SOLVED" for some reason even though it is not, so is EA even looking into the problem?

I can't believe nobody from EA has replied with a status of the problem or solution in 6 months. I also cannot believe that they don't want to fix it, since the Moto G phones in general are very popular and great smart phones that are used by a lot of people. I guess they don't care about the bad publicity and money they might be losing from all the Moto G2 users that cannot play their games.

I don't know if this is a problem with the Android Marshmallow version and the touchscreen driver on the Moto G2 that Motorola needs to solve or if this is something that EA can fix. It might be the development tool kits that EA uses to create their games that have the problem and maybe they need to wait for the tool kit developers to fix the problem. Maybe they make their own development tools that need fixed, but it seems very strange that the same problem would happen in multiple EA games on the Moto G2. This leads me to believe it is something in the tool kit they are using or how they are developing all their games that is causing this problem.

My sons have tried a lot of other games from other publishers and they have all worked fine on their updated Moto G2 phones, but the EA games still continue to be unplayable 6 months later. ☹️

I have the same phone and the same problem. I would love for EA to have a solution for this, but they don't seem interested.

I'm having the same problem. I just wish we knew whether to uninstall EA sports games from our phones and give up on them, or if there's still some hope.
Six months ago, there was hope... But it's a long time to wait!
I played sim city build it a bit over the summer, so I know EA can make games that work. Not sure if those devs talk to EA sports' devs or not!

That is selfish of each, to ignore some users so they can profit with others. They ignored it for a half of a year. Hopefully android 7 fixes it and we get just compensation.

I have similar problem before I have an Asus TF-101 tablet when I tried to open Madden NFL Mobile 17 app I cannot log on. I tried to install EA NBA app for android the same thing happen I cannot log on. However the NBA app gave me an error message "your device is not compatible Neon instruction support is required. My Asus tablet is Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and it does not support Neon. Most of the ARM processors support Neon instruction and Android 6.0.1 marshmallow requires Neon support. Since EA tested Madden NFL Mobile 17 on Android 6.0 I believe it requires device with Neon support to run. I ended up buying a new tablet run on Android 6.0 and I can log on and play now. Don't know if this is the problem for you but check if your device has Neon support.

  • The game still isn´t fixed, at least on my Moto G 2. I really lost my faith that EA will ever fix it, maybe next season.
