Madden mobile

My device is glitching out and I can't update the app .I'm worried if I delete the app my progress won't save. Also, I can't download any other apps from the App Store. So I'm pretty much screwed

If you cannot download any other apps then maybe your device is out of free storage space?

Did you have it linked to a Facebook account? If your Madden Mobile or FIFA mobile account is not linked to a Facebook account (is a guest account) and the device or app has an issue or is replaced you can lose your progress. Lots of users create a Facebook account that is specifically for the purpose of the game.
LIke the CM above me said, try to free up some space and see if you are able to update, but only after you link it to a FB account if you haven't already.
