Keeping 1-3 Players at the Start of a New Season

I've always thought about this and it would be amazing to have. I think it'd be awesome if they make it where when a new season starts, that, instead of losing all our players from the previous season, if we could keep like 1-3 players of our choice out of our whole roster because I hate spending money on the game and grinding for good players and then their just thrown out at the start of the next NFL season and it's frustrating. Either that, which would be more ideal, or give better compensations for exchanging all of those players compared to what you get because it's never enough for the amount of what the player is worth.
