Screen goes black for head to head and arena play

Hi all.  Within the last couple of days, when I enter a head to head match or an arena match, the screen goes black except for the red circle where my player is at.  It then freezes the game.consiste...

    Can you go to your visual settings under preferences and lower your graphics? That should help fix this.

It's that really the only solution? Game play is horrendous on high with Pixel 6 Pro. It's choppy as hell. EA needs to make sure their game.works with the Google Tensor processor.
