Season Mode Plays
Last season, everyone complained about the limited playbooks during season mode, and for good reason: season mode's a fun way to play the game and relax or to test out certain plays.
So when I begin season mode this year, under the 2025 season mode area, I was actually shocked and happy to see that the playbook was much larger than previous years. However, this shock turned to annoyance once I discovered that this large playbook is only available on the 2025 NFL Season season mode. On Classic, and Full Season, EA decided to give you a greatly reduced playbook. And by greatly reduced playbook I don't mean they took away 2, 4, or even 6 plays. No, EA in their infinite wisdom decided that letting you keep only 2 short passes, 2 long passes, 2 pa passes, and 2 runs would somehow enhance gameplay. Meanwhile, you have 7 SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYS!!!!
I don't know about anyone else, but having 7 special teams options and only 2 running options doesn't do jack to enhance the gaming experience, if anything this change actively makes it worse. Seriously, who thought only giving us the two point conversion plays was a good idea? And you'd think this be something easy to remedy, but no, the first update's gone by and this issue is still present. I don't get this at all. Is this a bug? Is this EA's way of slowly phasing out season mode? Is EA just incompetent and doesn't have the know how to fix this issue? Do they simply don't care? Seriously, who thought this would be a good idea and why hasn't it been fixed.
