Of course they are money hungry. That's all EA cares about is $ not the fans and players. Everything they have touched since Battlefront requires players to spend real money to compete. And in overdrive's case you can't even do the promos and events like Rising Star with out spending real $. Come on EA change your company money greedy motto before you no longer have a company at all.
