A trade system would be easily abused by people who create multiple accounts to stack one team. It works on the consoles because there is a $50ish entry fee (the cost to buy the game) but on a free mobile app people already create multiple accounts and allowing them to trade players without penalty would be too easily abused. If you want to send a player to your buddy, do it at market price or risk it getting picked off.
