Why do people put up good players for dirt cheap prices?
I always see really good players (often 99s) up in the auction house for really cheap prices. I've heard that the madden mobile team puts them up. Is this true? If not, why do players do this?

A lot of times it's to get a lot of people bidding on them who don't like to lose on bids, which eventually drives the prices up.
If EA were actually putting players up, they wouldn't be for cheap prices, they would be the exact opposite of cheap.
My guess is that it's mostly people with two or more teams, who sell players for next to nothing, list them for 72 hours bid time, so that they don't show up first on searches, then they grab that player with their other team.
- Why would EA put players up for expensive prices? Your theory is way off. To clear coins, they flood the market with players at prices where most people with a couple 100,000 coins can afford them. They buy them, but to what advantage? Everybody has them now, making a frustrating, one-sided game boring. Thus gearing up for 2015 version and a fresh batch of people to throw 100s of dollars at a game that has ratings that are not transposed to the abilities of the players on our teams and game opponents that play way above their player ratings and once in a lifetime plays every game for the game controlled teams. The bEAst will feed again, and you will all feed it.
