always 2 invites

Ok, I was wondering if anyone else has this problem & if so, how to fix it.

Just lately whenever I get invited to a friends game I always have to have them send 2 invites as the first one always stops on the joining game screen.

Let me explain;

I'm waiting on the main multiplayer menu screen, I push the square button to open the invite list, choose the invite, go through everything until I'm where it say's 'joining game' with the connecting symbol in the top left corner. After about 30 seconds the connecting symbol goes & I'm just left there.

I then have to leave onto the xmb menu (by use of holdging the ps button) & go back into the game, then by going through the whole process again, I join the game in less than 10 seconds.

I've tried having them send me invites while I'm on the xmb menu & still the same thing happens, can anyone help me with this as it's really annoying & never used to hapen.
