Some excellent ideas, especially about plot branching and some of our quest decisions, like the Krogan Scouts vs Raeka. There are so many ways they can take the next installment, be it in DLC form or MEA2. I don't have any links to post, but I do have a couple of ideas.
1- How does the relationship between the Jardaan (whom we've only heard about but never met), the Remnant they created, and the Angara that they also apparently created work out in Angaran Society and how does it affect the rest of the new colonies? Who are the Jardaan and will they return?
2-Leveling up, specifically my companions. So when I finished MEA (just last weekend), each of my companions had about 18 unspent level up points because there were no options left to pick. It feels like this should be developed a bit more deeply so that all companions have more skills to choose from, both passive and active. Maybe enough skills to choose from that we could actually have some options of how we wanted to develop them. I know this would affect combat balancing, but I think it would be something that could be worked on and improved so that we don't have unused points left.
3-Leveling up, AVP points. I like the concept of the system where you gain points based on your successes, but I feel the rewards should be more focused on my settlements, rather that personal gains.
4-Loot, we all love loot. I think there should be some unique items to be found while exploring as well as some items you can only buy. Any weapons that I found, even ultra rares, I just broke down into components, because I could make a better one in crafting. There was very little need to search out every container as I explored, especially once I had all the augmentations and mods that I needed.
5-Keep up the good work with companions, towards the end of the game they were really starting to feel alive. A bit more emotion, a bit more interaction with others, not just Ryder.

Thanks! Any chance you want to pin this so any passing writers/devs can find it easier?

I agree with you, It would be nice if your companions could upgrade their armor and weapons, like they did in ME3 , it would help them a lot.

Honestly in the next ME game they should take outposts one step further. We are pathfinders settling a new galaxy. The outposts/settlements need some more meat to them then just plop down some buildings and call it a day. Get them more involved with the story make your choice of settlement science or military effect the quests you get and how the planet develops through the game. Have fewer planets but have them evolve as the game goes on.
Make one outpost science oriented as you hit story breakpoints have the colony expand get more quests have buildings and environment change to reflect your choice of science over military. I love the living world feel and this would make it happen.

I agree, there could have been a lot more done with outposts besides the standard side quests. Building it up would have been fun.
Since the days of the original ME I've been wanting to be able to customize weapon aesthetics rather than having presets for the game. Some gun casings were cool with bad game play and vice versa. It would be nice to switch a look plus color coat it to match your armor.
Speaking of armor, I wish they would get rid of inherent powers, colors or patterns for them. Just use upgrade modules for each, kind of like you can now, but make each module more powerful to counter no inherent bonuses.
