Andromeda and 10 bit color.
So i have a Dell U3014 and it has full 100% rgb 10 bit color support. It is NOT a full HDR monitor though and this leads me to my question. I have Andromeda settings set to auto detect and it does co...
The game doesn't detect the Monitor as such but the Graphics card and what it reports as supported. The game will then deliver whatever it can to the graphics card and leave the rest up to that, If you choose HDR 10 or Dolby Vision the game will send that. I have however read that there can be some problems with Dolby Vision and ME:A. But test it and see the results you get.
I did some tests and screen captures and Dolby vision actually seems to be the best results for me oddly enough. As i cycle through bmp screen shots of the game with no auto detect, then just HDR10 and then Dolby vision I see that Dolby gives me more natural light and smoother larger shading gradients. My monitor is not able to use it "properly" as such but i find the game , card and monitor seem to give the best visuals with that combo. It is by no means a huge difference but comparing the screen shots one can see DV is the best of the 3 for my application.
