I bought the actual deluxe game disc for the Xbox 1. Will I get the soundtrack? I'm told only a digital download of the game actually gets the soundtrack. If that's so, why?
Any Deluxe Edition of Mass Effect Andromeda will give you the Digital Soundtrack.
To claim the Digital Soundtrack, go to Mass Effect Archives and log in with the Same EA Origin Account you use when playing the game on the XB1.
Also, for the link to download the Soundtrack to appear, you must sign in to the game first. And don't forget to redeem your Deluxe Edition Code first, as well (Otherwise, there is no way to prove you have the Deluxe Edition, as the Deluxe & Regular Edition Discs are the same.)
Hope this helps. Enjoy the fantastic Soundtrack.
For PC, Origins show the DLC to be downloaded to your computer. It's usually saved in this place:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect Andromeda\Bonus\Soundtrack

Yep! Though for PC owners just a PSA: you can also download it from the Mass Effect Archives site as well. So if you're on some other device that doesn't have Origin installed, voila!
I tried what you said. My Digital Deluxe Recruit Edition (PS4) is connected to my Mass Effect Archives account but it doesn't let me download the soundtrack. Offers three options to buy it instead.
