Hey David, I'm having a similar issue where I get an error message stating that I need an online pass to access online features. This occurs when I try to access multiplayer for Mass effect 3.
I've tried port forwarding, and various commands to reset my network details( ipconfig /flushdns /registerdns /release /renew and netsh int ip reset).
I've also tried reinstall of the game. I've attached a picture of the error message I get.
Ok, so I got multiplayer working but it involved paying for ea play so I could get the digital deluxe edition.
had same issue here, been through three online chat agents. third guy did "sync of account", whatever that means, and it helped immediately. hope it helps someone.
