Ashley Williams' First Aid

Hi,

I'm going nuts over this: what is the point of applying points to Ashley's First Aid skill in Mass Effect 1? She doesn't use First Aid and if the player uses it the health she regenerates doesn't seem higher than the health regenerated by the other team mate (who is Wrex and I don't think he has the First Aid skill). Desperately need an answer, don't want to start the game again in order to apply her points to better skills!

  • First Aid uses the combined skill of the squad... I guess that this isthe reason. Basically, by increasing her skill, you improve the whole squad.

I'll just make up a scenario. If the player uses first aid, they get 100 health points. But by leveling up Ashley (and she's in your squad), you get 200 health points for using first aid. Something like that?

What about other skills that seem almost useless for the squad, like Decryption and Electronics?

  • More or less, at least that's how it is supposed to work.

About Decryption and Electronics... if I recall correctly if one of your squadmates is good enough with one of these, then you can simply access the locked door door/container to start the minigame. If you want to use offensive abilities related to these trees, then only whoever has them unlocked in your party can use them.
