You're going to have to bite the bullet on this one and phone the toll free number during EA business hours 10am-10pm EST. If you are overseas use your Skype account and work out the time difference. You will be told your average wait time might be 560mins, ignore this and stay on hold, generally 20-45mins even if you call right on their opening time. DO NOT waste your time with Live chat for this issue. You will most likely be transferred to senior support Tech, where they can dig into your account. Thank you very much for your help. I think your name looks familiar. Might have met killing reapers or something. I am in UK. I will try that again on Monday after work. They close at 9pm. The thought of calling EA in USA does sound logical. With the waiting time, I may as well buy another copy. It is cheaper that way. But thanks again. I will try again with the UK EA helpline on Monday after work.
I guess no one will be able to answer my question buying another license as no one is so stupid like me or addicted to ME3 like me. :\

If you want this resolved you'll have to contact live support, since they're the only ones that are available weekends.
Make sure they issue you the correct Online Pass (called "Online Pass N7 Collector's Edition") and have the re-issue From Ashes to your accoutn again as well since this becomes de-authorized in the process. See my story here

Yeah, I'm pretty sure we've had a run on the park in Gold or Platinum.
Don't buy a new licence as this will result in a new account and you will lose all your hard work and you'll be weeping to the end of days!!!
If you added it into an existing account you will simply compound the problem even further. I have the same issue right now with Digital Deluxe Edition and it keeps asking for "Collector's Edition' online pass every time I try to join friends match (also happened after downloading latest DLC).
As per 1ago's post, take screen shots so the team can see exactly what happens at your end as a supporting email to your case, which I have also done. They will resolve it and you won't have to start from scratch.
