The thought of calling EA in USA does sound logical. With the waiting time, I may as well buy another copy. It is cheaper that way. But thanks again. Yeah, I'm pretty sure we've had a run on the park in Gold or Platinum.
Don't buy a new licence as this will result in a new account and you will lose all your hard work and you'll be weeping to the end of days!!!
If you added it into an existing account you will simply compound the problem even further. I have the same issue right now with Digital Deluxe Edition and it keeps asking for "Collector's Edition' online pass every time I try to join friends match (also happened after downloading latest DLC).
As per 1ago's post, take screen shots so the team can see exactly what happens at your end as a supporting email to your case, which I have also done. They will resolve it and you won't have to start from scratch.
