What did you do with them on Elaaden? Did you set up a future Nexus rival/Sloane/Reyes?
There was a number of these possible future setups. First I hope they come back to them all somehow. Second, I hope the payoff isn't just a line or two of dialogue and a little bit of loot.
I basically thought "You want me to be stupid enough to kill people that you think are dumb so you can be safe?"

I left them the big guns since I disapprove of giving the Nexus Leadership (especially Tann and Addison) anything, so I either set up a well armed base for the coming troubles with the Nexus/home for exile redemption, or else one of my outposts died. We should see next game. We'll just have to see if Dirk is a Reyes or Slone
well, i took the heavy arms, just didn't like the idea of leaving them there, even if barrett's on the level, the camp could fall back into raider hands. though when i went back after the quest, barrett's people weren't there, ryder said as much (least i think it was ryder). so, not sure what to make of that.

On the level or not, I am setting up a future rival/ally. I went with anyone who doesn't immediately shoot at me gets treated as potential ally.
Morda is only going to play nice as long as it suits her and, after the scouts fracas, I no longer trust Kesh or Drack to mitigate that for me. Maybe I'm just becoming jaded but the game seems to be steering me into balkanizing politics... to intentionally creating rivalries amongst semi-balanced factions so I can be the one unifying force.

I think they're supposed to, but don't as a bug.

I had Drack in my party. He definitely wanted me to take the bug guns. He said it was enough fire power to take on Morda. I left them. When I went back, Dirk said he knew nothing about the guns and they were a nice bonus. No one ever took over the camp I cleared. Never went back after Meridian though. Note that everyone in Dirk's group was human.
I did notice that Advent starting showing up in waves after I finished Dirk's quest. Heck, Advent is all over Elaaden, Kadara and Eos. They are even camped out in front of the hidden water hole on Elaaden. I have only seen humans in Advent armor on all three planets.
I am very interested if Dirk's group is Advent and if Advent is just a part of the collective. I wonder if Bain will end up being Advent.

How do you know they are Advent?
