So correct me if I am wrong anywhere here.
The main way to get milky way research points is as a cryopod reward from scientists.
The only way to claim this reward is to go back to your ship and...
Well the APEX rewards can collect and stack up (though don't get me started on having to open each apex reward box individually), should be easy enough to make it so the AVP rewards could stack as well.

Well you still need to go back to the ship to send the teams out again, so it would be nice to be able to handle it in the field as well 🙂

Pssst... don't make them change it, it will stop us from having that nice rewards exploit hehe 😃
you can send the strike teams from the app. why no collect the avp rewards from the app too?

it's because your strike teams are linked to your account and can be accessed online, while AVP is in game only. so it's only connected to your savegames, so there's no easy way to access or re-write the info required, unlike the strike-teams.

That's not the issue.
Issue is what save file it should be looking at for AVP. What if you load an earlier save, what happens then? Loose AVP points and rewards you may have already used for research or what-not. What if you have multiple characters?
It's not impossible to make it work, but waste or resources atleast for now.
Can of worms to me. Don't mess with it. More important stuff to get right first.

None of this is an issue with AVP as it has to do with story mode progression, that would be like current credits not changing when you load an earlier game, I think you have misunderstood how the AVP works 🙂
Only APEX works across all classes and saves 😉

Yes, I get this.
Perhaps was not clear (looking back) what I meant.
The mobile app would need modify access to all of our cloud saves and modify them. Chances of something going fubar increases.
Also I have a LOT of manual save points, most of them propably have AVP pending. Go through all of them on mobile app to claim them on each one? Details that could be resolved with re-thinking of the entire AVP system, no doubt.
exactly my thinking, seems like they dropped the ball on the app
