AWC.dll error w/a twist

Hello,

After reinstalling ME2, I received the "awc.dll" error. I have followed the advice in other awc.dll error threads and this has not solved my problem. ME2Game.exe does not exist inside of my binaries folder, Adobe AIR is installed, and has been reinstalled twice. I tried to repair the game using origins, but it hung at 99% until it produced an error. Attempting to manually start the ActivationUI.exe inside of the core folder results in only a 'flash' of an exe opening before it closes. I am rather frustrated, and also a little confused as I never had this problem when I originally bought the ME trilogy set.

Can you tell me the exact error message from the attempted Game repair?

Also, shut down your Windows firewall and disable the real-time scanner of your antivirus software. (just for testing purpose, don't forget to activate the firewall and the antivirus software later on.) and try the Game repair again.

Should it work after you disabled the firewall, here is a description how to allow a program to communicate through the firewall.

Is Origin set to update the games automatically? (in Origin > left Top corner menu > Origin > Applications Settings > General > and here under "Updates" > Automatically keep my Games up to date.)

If this steps don't help, please report back.

It seemed to solve itself, actually. Disabling firewall fixed the issue. 🙂
