Hi.
In the past, you would get the Battlefield 3 soldier for Multiplayer by registering both games.
Recently however, this character was made availible for all players as an unlock within the game. You can currently get the Battlefield 3 soldier as a rare character card (gold framed character card) dropped from various purchasable packs from the Multiplayer store, bought with earned ingame credits.
This is, of course, entirely random as to whether or not that you get this particular card instead of a weapon upgrade or some other piece of equipment, but you will get it eventually if you buy packs. Spectre packs and Premium Spectre packs have a higher chance of giving you this card.

I've unlocked my battlefield 3 soldier from premium spectre package 3 days ago xpp
Now that just sucks. I've got BF3 and now it looks like I won't be able to unlock this soldier unless I get the rare card. Good find on the Bioware forums BTW!
At least now everyone can use him. Plus, it's just a standard human soldier with Carnage - not that big of a deal to be honest. And it's just one rare card as the BF3 soldier doen't have any customizations.

No he's not just a standard soldier with carnage, he can roll as well (source: the Bioware forums). I've played with the BF3 soldier on my Xbox profile since launch, it's nice he just has no visual customization options so I was hoping I could use him on my PS3 too since I played BF3 on both platforms. Apparently releasing the soldier to the general population prevents him from being unlocked via the BF3 online pass now just like the collector assault rifle from the Darkhorse comics is no longer unlocking after they put it into general circulation. I wouldn't mind it being open to everyone if it didn't prevent my profile from using the entitlements.
Go to your multiplayer store - when I bought BF3 I thought the same thing, but there was a pack waiting for me that unlocked the BF3 soldier.

Standard Human Soldier (the "common" card, not the N7 destroyer) can roll, too. I do it all the time. See here
The only real difference between the basic human soldier and the BF3 one is that concussive shot gets replaced with Carnage and the pre-customization.

The last Darkhorse comic promotion with a CAR entitlement was back in March if I remember correctly, so anyone who didn't use his code until now has only himself to blame. I don't know about the Razer ME3-gear codes that used to give a CAR though, since you can still buy this gear. But if you only bought the gear for the codes that'd be pretty expensive...

I have ME3 on Xbox (preordered N7 eiditon) and PS3 (just purchase the PS3 version) - the code was redeemed last year on my Bioware account so yes I used it and it worked. I spoke with EA customer service and it turns out the Collector rilfe prmotion via Razer and Darkhorse was only for Xbox and PC and not for PS3 which is why I wan't getting access to it on my PS3 version of ME3. Regarding the BF3 soldier, EA said it was not available to PS3 BF3 players which also explains why it's been on my Xbox ME3 since launch but wouldn't show up on my PS3 unless I got the character via an in game pack.
