Do you use any mods?
Make sure Origin is closed
Go to: "Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect 2\BIOGame\Config".
Rename the "GamerSettings.ini" to "old_GamerSettings.ini" > Start Origin > Test the game.

Had a case of "mod -> broken Windows SSD -> reinstall without mods"
