[BUG] ME1 Framerate drop after killing docile salarians on Virmire

When killing the docile salarians in their cell on Virmire, the framerate is reduced to an unplayable level. Saving and reloading doesn't fix it. Shutting down the game and resuming also doesn't work...

Had the same issue with killing the indoctrinated Salarians on Virmire and the framerate crashing through the floor, though I had no issues with killing Dr Saleon.

    I can confirm the bug on Vermire after killing the Salarians in their cell. But I had no bug/problem with Dr. Heart. 

    The bug is permanent, so reloading won't work but it is a local phenomenon.
