Problem is I get simulation sickness from low framerates. It's the reason I could never get into Ocarina of Time. 😛

I mentioned I had this problem in another thread, but I completely forgot I recorded a video of it. As you can see, it's confined to one very specific area of the compound. I had no choice but to trigger the fight and let my companions take care of it, because there's no way I can do anything at 7fps. Soon as I got to the Asari's office the problem stopped and I didn't have any more issues.
Edit: forgot to mention my hardware. I'm running a Ryzen 5 3500 with a GTX 1660 Ti and 16GB of RAM. Not sure which driver version matters, or even which is which. Looking at the DirectX diagnostic tool it says 27.21.14, but the GeForce Experience app says my driver is 466.27, so make of that what you will.
