[BUG][ME2 & ME3] Enemies knocked down by Biotic or Ammo powers don't get up.

Good day for you! I playing the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition on Xbox Series X. In Mass Effect 3, Cerberus troops can stuck in the ground after a fall from biotic powers and from other abilities (like biotic melee). In some cases, they do not stand up after a fall at all, or just a long time after, or if they got some damage (like a melee hit).

I don't know if it's a bug from the original version (I don't think so, I don't remember to this from the original) or an LE version bug, but it happens a regular basis.

Here is a video about the bug (it's small, double click on the video for zoom to fullscreen):

  • This isn't really a problem when playing on Insanity now, it is an issue when the enemies get stuck on inaccessible places and the game requires you to slay all enemies rather than escape a place.

No, it's not just a problem, because enemy can stuck in inaccessible places. This is a problem, which ruins the whole combat system, even on Insanity, because this is not how supposed to win in combat. It's a bug, not a feature...

@Ri-Go_HUN7 Concussion Blast is suppossed to knock back enemies and put them in the ground now, if they get stuck on places that we can't to in order to finish then it is a problem.

I play now in ME2 as a soldier. This bug not occurs as much, but it's still there:

@EA_Mako Hi, I know you are not responsable for any of the bugs, I know you can't do about anything, I know that we bother you with these bugs all of the time, but I need to ask: any news about an upcoming update?

A bug like this, is a serious gameplay problem, and I still have a little hope (I know, I can be really naive sometimes) we will get some more support, but I do not have high hopes for it. Months since the game's release, and typically this publisher does not release too many updates after release.

@Ri-Go_HUN7 Sadly Bioware seems to have figured out that it is better to completly ignore players rather than addressing the issues, the problem.I have is that they aren't even bothering to take a few minutes and write a message with either a road map or saying they won't be providing any support because they know if they say the latter they will lose what little standing they got with the LE as fans who have been reporting issues on various pages (BSN, Answers HQ, Reddit, etc) will just stop being invested in them.

If it is saying that a patch will come that may ease the players a bit. I don't know the new Bioware director project background and in his LinkedIn page there is only a general page of him working on gaming projects.

So I was just about to give up on Mass Effect 3 Legendary completely and go back to the original because of this immersion breaking, ridiculous bug that turns the entire game into a joke. And not the funny one but one that gets old REALLY fast. Then I found this mod:

    https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/1576?tab=files

Can confirm it works. So far, I have observed the bug only ONCE in the entire play through instead of EVERY SINGLE FIGHT like before.

Once again, the players had to fix something Bioware and EA simply couldn't be bothered with. Now if only there was a way to unlock the shaders in Mass Effect 2 so I could fix the ridiculous crashed blacks and finally be able to see my Shepard's face again...

  • Sometimes hitting them again with powers or fire bullets or lobbing grenades is enough to get them unstuck. This is a notorious Legacy Bug that is annoying. If not, I suggest putting them out of their misery with a bullet to the head.
