Can’t progress Race Against Time: Sovereign

Just completed Virmire and I’m expecting to be transported back to the Citadel but nothing happens. It says to explore Feros, Noveria, Artemis Tau and Virmire to lead me to the conduit.

I still have two missions open from Noveria and I think that killed my game. Noveria: Rift Station and Noveria: Matriarch Benezia. While there, I was attacked by all the crew before I met with the guy who tells you about the purge so I killed them all (they snot first). Then activate the purge. But the mission won’t complete. I can’t access to the doors to fight benezia cuz they are locked red. So now is my game just done?  I don’t have an old save and I’m not restarting I have like 50 hours into this crap. Any help or tricks to process would be appreciated.

thank you.

  • @FlanzoneThat's a mess what you did on Noveria. My guess is that you picked wrong door and instead of going in the room where Benesia is you went all the way to the security area via second route. Even more, instead of getting back to Benesia you went for neural purge which pretty much messed all the game. Without spoilers, finding Benesia is mandatory. If you have a save of early stage in Noveria, use it.
As a piece of advice, save a lot and pay attention to what the NPC are saying because that is the best of the hands holding you can get.
ME1 doesn't forgive major mistakes. Sheppard suppose to save the galaxy so it's only normal to act like a saviour. Also most of decisions here will reflect in following games.

  • @Flanzone To activate the Nuetron Purge you ha e to pick up the keycode from tartislavs body.... But be warned an angry rachni you have to deal with first and then activate the purge and then RUN LIKE HELL! It also is helpful to activate Immunity too.
  • Sounds like you got the bad ending! If you immediately take out benezia first and then try tou double back Erc Will then shoot on sight after saying I am sorry shepherd but I have orders from Benezia to kill you. Sounds like you are completely new to Mass Effect. I suggest loadva savefile before all this possibly the garage fight and then start over from there! I also suggest at taking a look at some walkthroughs for Legendary Edition. IGN and Gamerant I have found extremely helpful as well as the Assignment Wiki on The Fandom page. Good luck!

Yeah I screwed it up good somehow. Thanks for the responses.

  • A year late, but I’m dealing with the same exact problem as you. Did you ever find a solution or did you have to start the game over? I’ve been stuck for weeks.

So you activated the neural purge without meeting Benesia?
You should have a save at the start of the mission regardless of the system you're on.
