Can I start a new romance after I finished the story?

With patch 1.08 I want to know if I can start romancing Jaal, after I finished the game. I'm not going to replay everything. Thanks

Dont have any experience romancing multiple characters but as far as i know they are "locked in" after the first mission of meridian and cannot be changed if you agree to be together with them. Till that you have to constantly flirt with the person you like.

Its not going like you neglect the whole person until the end of the game and you just say a few words to them and bam they fall in love. If im correct skipping using a few romance dialogue options you cannot even go back and they consider you automatically a friend and the big heart icon doesnt even appear in the conversations anymore.

Im afraid you have to start a new game or new game+ and then start to flirt with Jaal from the beginning.

Thanks, that's what I feared. Which means I'm gonna go to Youtube for the Jaal romance, and as well as for all future MEA DLCs.

I would wait with the DLC's as they might will be playable after finishing the main story. Since you can continue to discover the cluster and finish any remaining missions you didnt do prior meridian, probably some if not all (if there will be any) story related ones will be accessible with an already completed playthrough.

They usually are. But I just meant to say that BioWare dropped the ball on the gay romances and I'm not going to invest in any future content related to MEA. I'm hugely disappointed and as I wouldn't be able to play the DLCs with Jaal as my romance, no DLCs.

Ah, so that's why I suddenly couldn't move my fling with Suvi any further. Hope they fix that and make relationships more realistic.

Well it kinda does make sense doesnt it? In real life if you not showing interest for some time or not supporting the said person at crucial moments, they lose interest. Of course you can always try to persuade them again to start over or continue but you cant do that all the time, not with everybody.

You have to keep the lights on otherwise the fire just extinguishes.

MEA is really fun to replay. I'd try a NG+ at least.

It really depends on the person. As much as i love the ME series i noticed the more episodes came out the less playthroughs i had with them. Like, i did 2 PT's in ME1 because at the time i started playing it ME2 release was already soon. In ME2 i had about 7-8 playthroughs and about 4-5 NG+ probably thats the episode i loved the most. Then ME3 came out where i had 3-4 PT's in total plus 2-3 NG+ but i finished in total only one NG+ the rest was abandoned about halfway of the story. However i invested an extra 401 hrs 19 minutes and 29 seconds in multiplayer 😃 - N7 HQ data with my old account which i thought i lost but later it turned out i didnt.

Now that Andromeda came out i finished 2 playthroughs in total and now in my third which should different experience because its a female also my very first biotic in the entire Mass Effect series i just cant play more than a hour at one go. Its certainly a long detailed game and i can understand for some people one PT is enough because it takes 'bout a month if you play 2-3 hrs a day to finish 94% of the game and yet there's the rest 6 which is another 5-10 hrs.

So i noticed the longer the game gets the less patience i have to play it over multiple times.

NG+ is something that can be considered - dont know if they fixed the enemy hp scaling - still it takes tens of hours unless you do only the required missions but even then it takes imo about 30-35 at least.

The open world is nice but there's just so much to do that its exhausting for many people.
