Can't launch ME Legendary Ed. from Steam

I have installed MASS EFFECY LEGENDADY EDITION in Steam but when I try to launch it I get a message about needing an app to open the link.(See the attached image) I have reinstalled the program but ...

    @mikefulton 

    I can't see an attached image in your post, but to play MELE brought on Steam you need to have Origin installed and your accounts (EA and Steam) linked.

    Steam should normally downloade the Origin installer for you and prompt you for installation. 

    If that doesn't happened, you can install Origin from the Link above.

    @mikefultonCan you try grabbing the Steam version of another game-for example Apex Legends- and see if that will have any effect? You can just start downloading, then cancel it and check.
