Mass Effect 3 cloud save corrupted, game crashes on launch

Mass Effect 3 cloud save appears to be corrupted , and the game crashes on launch.  This happened to me years ago before the EA app replaced Origin. Then, I simply disabled cloud saves and that fixed the problem. The EA app doesn't allow that. Is there any workaround to this?  I've tried blocking the EA background service and other tasks through my firewall, but it still won't launch - it crashes every time when it tries to sync with the cloud, and I cannot find a way to have it not try to sync.

    1. Make surre Steam and EA app are completely closed.
    2. Disable the internet connection of your PC.
    3. Go to your "C:\Users\<Your User Name>\Documents\\Bioware\Mass Effect 3" folder.
    4. Move the "Save" folder to your desktop. (The folder must be gone from the original path! )
    5. Now the game should start again.

This worked to make the game launch again, but when I tried to reconnect to the ME server (which you have to do play multiplayer or load an existing playthrough/game), it crashes again. Any thoughts?  Thanks for your help.

Normally the EA app should sync your save folder with the cloud at the fist start of the game.
If the folder is empty the (probably corrupt) cloud save should be deleted in the cloud and not re-sync.

You should test your saves before you go back online. It is likely that one of the last saves you made is the culprit.
(Make a backup of all your saves.)
After you found the corrupt save, delete it and leave the working saves in the folder > go online.

I finally fixed this.  I followed your steps and actually deleted a few of the last saves. One of them must have been bad, because it then launched as expected.  Thanks!
