Cerberus Network Code related

Are all the network codes the same in use, if not what are the diffrences if there are any.

reason for asking is that i have the digital deluxe version and it came with its own cerberus key and i would like the benifits of the key if any exist and any possible drawbacks from using a regular key when downloading the dlc.
