Changes to Load Times?

So i was looking through the Mass Effect LE info and I realised that I never saw clarification of where the remaster has the new elevator times (if i missed it pls show me). I dont remember the exact times but i think they said the old elevator times were like 50 seconds each and the new ones are like 12 seconds per elevator ride right? when I heard that i assumed it was just ps5/series x speeds because they were the new consoles and everyone talking about loading times lately has been on those consoles. Thing is, these games are advertised as PS4 and Xbox One games soooooo what are the correct loading times for each platform? can/did bioware clarify this?

Load Times:

PS4:

PS5:

Xbox One:

Xbox Series X:

PC: (i assume an average pc)

I ask this because if 12 seconds is on the ps4/xbox one im curious how much better the new gen does. If those times are the new gen i want to know how much slower the ps4 and xbox one are :D

  • I'm pretty sure I heard bioware say that staying in the elevator longer for the conversations was optional. Not sure if that means standing there after the elevator doors open or if its a setting that you can enable so the door doesnt open until a convo finishes but it didn't sound liike that would be apart of the new time.

  • They confirmed that the elevators will have a skip button once the next area has loaded. Squad banter and news announcement will also trigger more quickly, so if you want to hear those, you don't have to wait as long for those either.

I can't comment on the exact load times, though. They said they'll be shorter, but I can't imagine that being true since the game is loading much higher quality textures. I also notice considerably longer load times when I play Mass Effect on PC with texture mods installed.

Here's a GameInformer article that mentions changes to elevators: https://www.gameinformer.com/2021/02/03/mass-effect-legendary-edition-changes-iconic-elevator-sequences

  • I guess i'll find my answer when it comes out :D

was considering making a thread where i listed all changes, glad i didnt do it before i saw that link it was awesome. So first off that all sounds awesome, absolutely worth the price tag in my eyes :') keen to see everything in action (especially the mako) although i will note that im not a fan of all this lens flare. Some of it was fine in the original trilogy but it seems a bit excessive in the SS i have seen so far. Also "motion blur has been harmonised across the trilogy" i hope i can still turn it off, motion blur can never be on for me, i feel ill haha.

All these quality of life changes look so good. Ive always been torn between ME1 and ME2 as my fave of the series, ME2 for the perfect gameplay, ME1 for the story. With things being brought more in line gameplay wise ME1 might actually take my top spot :O

on page 4 it has this line: "Aim cone adjustments have been made in ME1 so that aiming feels more related to your own ability than a skill stat."

what is an aim cone? just the triangle of vision you ahve in front of you in games?

A liiiiittle sad about less hacking minigames but i guess they did get old quickly after a few replays. Guess this means more drops will just be pickes straight off the ground?

I know all of this was off topic sorry but the link you posted was interesting. The only thing i want changed that hasnt been spoken about so far is legion. Was hoping i could get him earlier or get him freed from the 'countdown till the endgame' so i could use him throughout me2 for interesting dialogie and not worry about triggering certain events. I know its 99% not gonna happen because they put it that way originally for a reason ☹️ I wouldnt mind getting him late in me2 if he had been a companion in Me3.
